Changing the way people view a particular medium is on the greatest gifts modern art has given us. When frogdesign began a relationship with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art it made perfect sense to push the boundaries of the Web.
The Keith Haring mini site was the first opportunity to put this into practice. The opening screen depicts one of Haringšs subway drawings. I created ambient background sound to help draw the viewer into the scene. As the user rolls over the interface buttons, a subway conductor calls out the locations over the intercom.
To accomplish this, I used the Beatnik plug-in from Headspace along with extensive javascripting.
