The Computer Clubhouse network was created through a partnership between Intel, M.I.T., and the Boston Museum of Science. The Clubhouse are located in Boys and Girls Clubs all over the world and are filled with the latest computers and peripherals donated by Intel. The Children at the clubs are encouraged to experiment, collaborate, and educate one another while working on music, deign and multimedia projects.
Our goal was to create an intranet to help establish this spirit of collaboration and interaction across the entire network of clubhouses. Members are able to create their own profiles, upload projects, view other clubhouses, share ideas, and send messages to one another. We were able to take our designs directly to the local clubhouses and test them out on the members. The kids were always inspiring and their feedback lead to new solutions.
