"Banking For Your Life" broadband ad

challenge: Develop a broadband ad which entertains and engages users as the benefits of Home Banking are explained to them.

Bank of America was one of several companies working with @Home to demonstrate the effectiveness of advertising on their broadband network. We created a quiz show where users learn the advantages of banking online with B of A. An original theme song and an irreverent host keep the action lively while colorful animation creates fast-paced action.

Many of the other advertisers opted to take advantage of the broadbandwidth by utilizing video clips. Although download time is shorter than with a modem, viewers are still subject to overly compressed images in a tiny window. Our solution was to use Macromediaıs Flash to create vector based animation playing from within a Director movie, allowing us to control the interactivity and streaming audio with Directorıs advanced scripting capabilities.

The presentation begins playing immediately as the data is streamed to the user, creating a vibrant and engaging experience.
